The Auto-Adoption Model was created and is exclusively offered by Indevor Water to address the Development Industry’s longstanding need for a solution to resolve the widespread issue of Unadopted Legacy Sewers.
How Auto-Adoption Works?
Indevor Water are able to adopt Legacy Sewer Networks, making them become Public Sewer Status irrelevant of their size, history or location. In order to do this, all we require is provision of any technical information available from the Developer; following which, a Fixed Auto-Adoption Offer will be made for the Developer’s consideration to enable the Sewer to be transferred into our Sewer Network Portfolio.
Auto-Adoption allows Housebuilders to benefit from immediate transfer of the Sewers into the Indevor Water Network without the need to undertake any Remedial Works prior to vesting.
The Problem of Legacy Unadopted Sewers
The Housebuilding Industry has historically struggled with the widespread issue of Unadopted Legacy Sewer Networks. These are Sewers that have been constructed and serve fully occupied Residential Developments that have been completed for a number of years but have not been vested with the Incumbent Water Company. Until now, the Industry has not been able to access a solution.
